And we know there are barriers in participating in such events especially for people from marginalised communities. Hence, we have collaborated with Glasgow Life for the second time to help people from our community run in Scotland's biggest run.

This Diwali, join us for a hands-on, creative experience where tradition meets art. We’re hosting a two-part workshop that takes you on the journey of making your own Diya – from shaping the clay to decorating the finished piece. In the first session on the 7th of Oct, you’ll get the chance to work with clay and try your hand at pottery. Guided by our facilitator, you’ll shape and mould your own Diya, adding your personal touch to this symbol of light and celebration. The Diyas will then be left to dry and harden. In the second session on the 14th, a week later, you’ll return to bring your Diya to life with colour and decoration. Paint, embellish and design your Diya in your own style, ready to light up your home for Diwali or to gift to someone special.

Conic Hill is a popular hike which is found between Balmaha and Drymen. It’s popularity is no doubt due to it’s spectacular views over the south of Loch Lomond. The Conic Hill is found directly on the Highland Boundary Fault and stretches to a height of 361 meters (1,184 feet) at its peak.

Ben Lui is regarded as one of the grandest and most elegant mountains in the Southern Highlands, with a magnificent appearance when seen up the Cononish Glen from Dalrigh. The shortest route to it is from Glen Lochy, enabling easy inclusion of its less impressive neighbour Beinn a'Chlèibh. It is necessary to cross the River Lochy near the start of the walk - there is no bridge and it usually requires a wade and would be impassable in spate. There are some very boggy sections in the forest, and the lower slopes are wet, pathless and grassy, eventually giving way to steeper rocky terrain.

Doune Hill is the highest of the grassy, sculpted Luss Hills. The approach along the ridge from Beinn Eich makes a fine walk, but the return through Glen Mollochan is boggy.

The Scots Pine trees of Devilla are a perfect habitat for red squirrels. After trying to spot them along the Red Squirrel Trail, continue to explore the wider forest and its four lochs, which are home to dragonflies and otters.
