Scald Law is the highest of the Pentlands; this classic approach reaches it via a very fine switchback ridge, taking in the shapely Carnethy Hill along the way. The return follows the minor road by the Loganlea and Glencorse Reservoirs.

The steep grassy dome of Duncolm rises above the moors as the highest point of the Kilpatrick Hills. Although close to Glasgow it feels like a wild place and is a popular objective. This is a moderate Hill walk, ascent about 450m. There is a steep incline in the beginning for about 45 minutes. At the top, there is a beautiful lake and a forest with spectacular views of Glasgow.

A rough hill walk to a panoramic viewpoint. One of the trickier walks in this area, with a maze of gorse to negotiate, and requiring the ability to take and follow a compass bearing in poor weather on the featureless summit plateau. Having the route downloaded in our app should be a useful aid in staying on route.
